I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Valerie and Matthew a couple of weekends ago. I’ll share a sneak peek of their day soon, but for now, here are a few from Valerie’s bridal session.
Well, after an awesome week of time spent with close friends and family, our perfect wedding, and a week of soaking up the sun in Cabo, Rob and I are back in Chattanooga. Besides catching up with a massive list of emails, and trying to edit a couple of pre-wedding photo shoots for some very understanding and patient clients, I’ve spent my first two days in our new home (well, new to me) mopping the floor, cleaning out the fridge, doing 9 loads of laundry, sorting through a whole room full of wedding stuff, and cleaning up dog pee. Does that mean the honeymoon is officially over? 😉 However, now that all the wedding planning craziness is over, it’s nice that Rob and I finally have time to date again (ironic, I know). Our lives had been so filled with to-do lists for wedding things and getting the house finished (Rob bought a foreclosed house and has been working on flipping it since he bought it a couple of years ago) that we had no spare time to just be. So, my HUSBAND and I went on a date downtown last night and just enjoyed time together. And it was wonderful. So begins our married life…
We were so excited to have Taylor and Matt of Cardboard Films shoot our wedding. They do awesome work and are a lot of fun to work with. Rob and I talked multiple times during our honeymoon about how we couldn’t wait to see our video and all of the photos from our wedding. Little did we know that Cardboard Films had already posted a trailer for our video by the Monday after our wedding. That’s some fast turnaround time people! My brother told us about it when he picked us up from the airport and we couldn’t wait to get to our house to watch it, so we watched it right there in the parking lot on Rob’s iPhone. And I think I have watched it at least 3 times a day since then. I’ll also throw in here that Taylor not only shoots and edits the video, but composes the music for each trailer as well. Unique compositions for every couple. That’s impressive! Matt and Taylor, you guys did an amazing job and we CANNOT wait to see the full video! Anyone in need of videographers should check them out asap. They work out of Nashville but travel all over.

For all of my clients and friends who actively kept up with my blog for so long, I apologize for the total lack of social media interaction over the past several months. I can’t believe I haven’t made a single post in four months! While I have been staying active with shooting, editing, designing albums, filling print orders, etc, I’ve been spending every other spare minute trying to plan our entire wedding in just four short months. Needless to say, keeping up with blog posts, twitter, and my facebook page have fallen pretty low on my priority list. These past months have absolutely flown by and I’m excited to say that by this Saturday I will officially be Mrs. Kim Feisley…but yes, Kim Hunter Studio’s name will still stay the same! 🙂 Words can’t express how excited we are to join our lives together, surrounded by all of our friends and family…followed by a full week of total relaxation in Cabo. Woohoo!
