As I have mentioned at various times on my blog, Amanda is one of my best friends and fellow photographer extraordinaire (check out her work here).  She and her husband Boo are expecting their first child in late September and we had been trying to figure out a way for me to make it down to Oklahoma for a maternity shoot.  A few weeks ago we were finally able to work something out and had a great shoot…even if it was a million degrees outside.  Boo was a trooper, having to put up with two photographers the whole time. 🙂 Thanks you two, and I cannot wait to meet little Evie! Letting Boo have a little fun… Ernie! Haha! I LOVE Ernie’s face in this one… If you saw my last blog post you know that I just got a new LOMO film camera.  Below are a few shots from the first roll of film.  Haha, as you can see, I cropped their heads off of most of them.  In the future I guess it’d be a good idea for me to remember if I’ve put a cropping frame in the camera to allow me to fit more exposures on each roll…and compensate accordingly.

For a few years now I’ve been wanting to get into lomography and have had my eye on the Diana F+ camera.  Finally, as a birthday present from my parents, I now have it! Got it just in time to take along on my travel/work adventure to Texas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi so I was able to use it for some pictures at a wedding and maternity shoot!  Hoping to get the film developed next week. Can’t wait to see how they turn out! I also recently inherited (temporarily) a couple of cool old cameras from my uncle’s in-laws.  He wants me to play with them a little and see if they still work.  I’ve got to fix the mirror in one of them and then we’ll see how they do.  There was even still an old unfinished roll of Kodak Verichrome film left in the little Spartus camera! Now I’ve got to try to find a photo lab that still develops that stuff. Any suggestions? This one still had the flash and extra bulbs!

At the end of last year I had the privilege of photographing little baby Jack. Well, Jack turned 1 year old last week and it was time for another photo session so we headed down to Glencairn Gardens in Rock Hill.   The weather had been a bit unpredictable all day but we decided to go ahead and hope for no rain.  It was a little wet and the trees were drippy but we made it work and Jack warmed up to the camera in no time.  Happy 1st birthday Jack!

Tyler and I met up on Main Street in Fort Mill, SC for his senior pictures.  I had been wanting to shoot there for awhile and finally got the chance!  There were so many little areas to choose from and the weather turned out perfectly, so we had a great time. Tyler and I attend church together but I had never really gotten to know him very well until we got together for his photo session. Turns out he’s a really nice guy…and really smart! He plans to attend school in Arkansas this Fall.
