Atlanta: Love Affair Photography Workshop

Yay, I have finally found a chance to do a post from the Love Affair workshop! I’m so excited to share these pictures with everyone because we had such a great time and got some awesome shots! My sister, Erin, and my friend and photography buddy, Amanda, had the chance to go to Atlanta back in July to model for the annual Love Affair photography workshop put on by some of the best photographers in the wedding business…Kelly Moore, Millie Holloman, Davina Fear, and Lauren Clark.  The workshop is for women only and covers things such as tricks of the trade, workflow, and balancing life and work. Near the end of the workshop week the ladies participating in the workshop are divided into small groups to go around town with a model and practice what they’ve learned…that’s where Erin, Amanda, and I came in.  Below are some shots of the three of us taken by our photographers, and credit given where due (click on the pictures to be directed to their website).  Our outfits are compliments of the photographers hosting the workshop and the  head pieces were done by Joanne Miranda.

I’ve decided to post some of our photos from our model sessions first. Later that night the three of us went out around Atlanta and did a photo session of our own. I’ll post some of those pictures tomorrow so make sure you check back!!!

At the end of the workshop, each group was supposed to submit a photo from their session with their model. I believe there were certain things that had to be included in the picture such as negative space, good lighting, emotion, etc and my group’s photo won! Here is the winning picture! I was in a movie theater in the lobby of a condo building and we turned out all the lights and flashed my face to make it appear like I was watching a [scary] movie. Haha!
