A few months ago I had the privilege of traveling to Lake Lure to photograph the kids at Camp Care as a volunteer with Flashes of Hope. Both Flashes of Hope and Camp Care are nonprofit organizations established to encourage and enhance the lives of children battling cancer. My little cousin is a cancer survivor herself, so I know at least a little bit about what these children are going through, and I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to help put a smile on their faces. I mainly photographed the younger boys, who I was told would be the toughest crowd, but we had a blast. They kept me laughing as they goofed off as boys do. Here are some of the dudes I had the pleasure to meet…
