Last month I had the opportunity to host a week-long workshop at The Light Factory in uptown Charlotte. The topic of the workshop centered around the business of modern portrait photography, covering everything from creating your brand, to building rapport with clients, to conducting a shoot, and on into post processing and social media. The whole deal. It was a pretty intensive course to squeeze into just five days, but we had a blast!
Thanks everyone for a really great week. You guys were awesome!
I took a few digital images, but mostly used a couple of my film cameras throughout the week. I’ll be posting some of those once I have them back from the lab. Until then…
Here’s the gang (minus Erin and Gaby who couldn’t make it to Friday’s class…missed you girls!)

Our Awesome Workshop Models
Katie and Tracy were kind enough to model as I demonstrated my shooting style for the students. I’m sure it was daunting to have so many cameras firing at them at the same time, but they were really great. Did I mention our models were awesome yet? 🙂
