Kim Hunter Studio: Portraits of a Writer

As a photographer who mainly shoots weddings and families, it’s really exciting to book a client who pulls you out of your normal routine from time to time.  Anita contacted me about getting some shots for her to use on a website and blog she is building to help “unleash her creativity”. She explained that, while she has a regular 8 to 5 job, she’s also a “theater dork” and loves writing short stories, poems, and plays.  She also explained that some of her writing is comical, while some others are dark, so we wanted to work that into the session as well.  She was so much fun to work with and did an awesome job putting up with  my clumsy tenancies all afternoon. Not sure what the cause was, but I was having some serious issues. Tripped over numerous twigs and fallen tree limbs. Shoe flew off at one point.  A thread on my shirt somehow got attached to my camera, so when I lifted it to take a picture, my shirt went with it…yep, ridiculous. And then I made her trudge across a field while wearing high heels and carrying a bag of heavy books. Yes, I believe I win the Photographer of the Year Award.  🙂

On the plus side, I’m really excited about these images and believe it was all worth it!
